TLDR

The IAB Tech Lab released a new set of standard business practices for programmatic advertising to increase consistency and transparency between buyers and sellers.

The IAB Tech Lab's Programmatic Governance Council released Programmatic Standard Practices v1, a proposal establishing shared business rules and norms for how programmatic advertising buyers and sellers should conduct transactions using existing technical standards. Rather than creating new technical standards, the framework aims to reduce transaction costs and improve clarity around how companies should implement and use standards already in place, with a public comment period running through October 16.
