TLDR

Google now allows Shopping and PMax advertisers to set ROAS target tolerance bands of 5–30%, letting performance metrics drift further from the target before triggering optimization adjustments.

Google has introduced ROAS target tolerance settings for Shopping and PMax campaigns, enabling advertisers to specify how far actual return-on-ad-spend can deviate from their target before the system recalibrates. The tolerance range spans 5% to 30%, giving advertisers flexibility in how aggressively bid strategies pursue their stated goals. Portfolio bid strategies do not support this feature.
